About the Conference

The main Objective of holding IGLC in India is to give a fillip to its budding Lean community. While Lean Manufacturing concepts have been around for quite some time in India, Lean construction is just catching on. Over the past years many leading international Lean experts have visited India for technical programmes: India has also held two Lean Construction conferences successfully in 2015 and 2017, attended by about 250 Lean construction enthusiasts. Holding IGLC 2018 in India will also be beneficial to the many neighbouring countries in Asia, Africa and Australia, where Lean Construction is still nascent.


Apart from the traditional technical events of IGLC, there will also be entertainment programmes and other recreational activities. Chennai is well connected by air to global destinations. There are places of great tourist interest in and around Chennai as well as elsewhere in India. There are several interesting possibilities for pre-and post-conference tours.
